Holiday Award That Supports Schools and Families

What is the Sunshine Squad?

The Sunshine Squad is a holiday achievement award designed for children aged 3–12 (FS1 – Year 6), giving families a simple and structured way to keep children engaged during school holidays. Children complete a series of engaging challenges at home and upload their work through the secure Edsidera web based platform or Interactive App. Each activity is supported by guidance videos, downloadable resources and reflection prompts that help children build independence and ownership of their learning.

The Sunshine Squad has spring program with activities for ages 3 to 12

Spring Program Activities

The Spring programme includes:

  • 10 challenges for FS1–FS2
  • 12 challenges for Years 1–6

The challenges cover a wide range of areas including literacy, creativity, problem solving, wellbeing and practical life skills, encouraging children to stay curious and active while learning in a flexible way. For Years 1–6, the programme also includes English and Maths GL-style activity mats, designed to gently support preparation for external assessments when pupils return to school.

Participation in the Spring programme is AED 40 per child
Keep Learning and Engagement Alive over Holidays

Children complete the challenges at their own pace during the holiday, uploading their work through the platform as they go. Our team of educators provide feedback and encouragement along the way, and each participant receives a digital certificate when they complete the programme. Participation in the Spring programme is AED 40 per child, providing an accessible enrichment option for families.

Collaboration with Educational Partners

The Sunshine Squad also includes challenges developed in collaboration with a number of respected educational partners, including Pobble, Squirrel, NatureWave, Mrs Mactivity, Mini Magicians – Magic Phil and The Curiosity Approach, bringing expertise in areas such as writing, financial literacy, environmental learning, creativity and wellbeing.

Children will be working on activities with a balanced mix of critical thinking and real world challenges
