Ratings and Accreditations
The first KHDA inspection for Fairgreen International School was in March 2022 . Our rating of ‘Good’ indicates that the school fully meets the requirements of the Dubai Schools Inspection Board (DSIB). ‘Very Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ judgements are not awarded to schools in their first inspection, therefore, we achieved the highest possible award grade for a new school.

The school’s focus on innovation and sustainability is evident in its imaginative and pioneering architectural design concept. Our campus features technology-enabled classrooms, state of the art labs and maker-spaces, research and food production mobile stations, a library and learning hub, and arts and music.
Ed joined Fairgreen as a Director in August 2022. Ed has held various leadership positions within a diverse portfolio of high performing international schools over a period of 20 years. These spanned over six countries in four continents including: Australia, United Kingdom, UAE, Malaysia, China and with the most recent position being Head of School at Nord Anglia’s The British International School Chicago, Lincoln Park in the United States.
Ed is originally from Australia and is currently completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with the University of Cumbria (UK), in conjunction with Robert Kennedy College, Switzerland. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Education and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Environmental Management from University of Western Sydney. He is also a fully accredited school inspector under the British Schools Overseas inspection framework. Ed works to actively build teams committed to delivering outstanding learning experiences for students. He also strongly believes in the powerful and productive relationship between schools and the families they serve. He has a strong track record in fostering community among families in the schools he has led.
Matt received his Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours from Humberside University and his Master of Business Administration Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Leicester. His vision is to build a primary school in which wellbeing supports academic growth and achievement and vice-versa. He has worked in six countries over the course of his twenty seven year career; the UK, Brunei, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Thailand and Dubai. In that time, he has worked with different curricula; the IB (PYP); the UK National Curriculum; the International Primary Curriculum and the US Common Core. Matt moved to Dubai in 2019 and is a qualified mindfulness teacher and has co-facilitated training for over 120 teachers, over the course of twelve years, to help to improve teacher wellbeing.
Primary Vice Principal, PYP Curriculum Coordinator
David has been teaching in many different countries around the world. He started his international teaching career in Nelson, New Zealand researching best practices in literacy instruction. He then moved to Kasigluk, Alaska as a KG to Grade 3 teacher in a small village of 300 people. He then taught in Thailand and Seattle and helped found a school in Frankfurt, Germany. It was in Frankfurt that he first learned about and fell in love with the International Baccalaureate. The IB’s inquiry based, trans-disciplinary learning for a purpose connected to what David believes is important in education and from that point, he began to learn and teach through the IB. He has been a curriculum leader since 2012 and was the Lead PYP Curriculum Coordinator for the UAE Association of IB School from 2017-2020. He is currently a IB/PYP workshop leader and trainer and continues to be an influential member of the IB in the Middle East.
Mr. Rogers is originally from the UK where he completed his teacher training and taught for several years before moving to Abu Dhabi over eight years ago. His previous experience includes tenure in a senior leadership role at The American International School in Abu Dhabi (AISA), which is also part of the Esol Education family, therefore Tim’s educational approach is well aligned with the leadership, mission and philosophy of the organisation. During his time at AISA, Mr. Rogers played a vital role in driving school improvement along with raising student achievement, and will bring his proven abilities as a school leader to the Fairgreen community.
Secondary Vice Principal
Holli moved to the UAE in 2010 and has worked in international schools in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai delivering both the IB and British curricula. She has worked with students in Grade 6 through to Grade 12 and is just as passionate teaching the rules of punctuation as she is debating with students whether Macbeth is truly a tragic hero. She has extensive experience leading secondary English departments and has a keen interest in teaching and learning. One career highlight was her involvement with the KHDA Abundance Project, collaborating and sharing best practice with small, private schools in Dubai. From a pastoral perspective, Holli has worked as Head of Year and Home Room teacher; supporting the academic and emotional wellbeing of students & ensuring that every day gets off to a great start! She joined Fairgreen International School as Head of Secondary English in September 2021.
