Bloom World Academy has celebrated a significant milestone as its first International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) cohort achieved outstanding results and secured places at leading universities around the world.

For parents considering the IB pathway, the Class of 2026 demonstrates how a personalised approach to learning, combined with academic rigour and student wellbeing, can help young people achieve strong outcomes while preparing for higher education and future careers.

Bloom World Academy’s First IB Cohort Achieves Outstanding Results

Bloom World Academy recorded a 100 per cent IB Diploma pass rate in its first ever graduating cohort.

Students achieved an average Diploma score of 34.8 points and an average subject grade of 5.54. According to the school, these results are expected to place Bloom World Academy above both UAE and global averages once the official 2026 benchmarks are released.

Additionally, 40 per cent of students achieved 41 points or more out of a possible 45, reflecting consistently high academic performance across the cohort.

Bloom World Academy’s International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (CP) students also recorded excellent outcomes. More than 80 per cent of BTEC Diploma module grades were awarded at Distinction or Distinction Star level.

Students Secure Places at Leading Universities Worldwide

The school’s first graduating class has earned offers from several internationally recognised universities.

Students will progress to institutions including the London School of Economics, King’s College London, University College London, the University of St Andrews and St Mary’s University Twickenham.

Among the cohort’s highest achievers, Chanelle Scoular received a scholarship to St Mary’s University Twickenham to study the BA Acting programme.

These destinations reflect the international recognition of the IB Diploma and the breadth of opportunities available to Bloom World Academy graduates.

Outstanding Achievements Despite a Disrupted Examination Cycle

This year’s results came after external IB examinations across the UAE were cancelled because of regional tensions.

The International Baccalaureate Organisation introduced alternative assessment arrangements based on coursework, predicted grades and evidence collected throughout the programme.

Despite the disruption, students remained focused on their studies and continued to perform at an exceptionally high level.

Nishi Saran, Principal of Senior School & Nexus University said,

“Our first pioneering IBDP and CP cohort has achieved an exceptional set of results, and we could not be prouder. As the very first students to graduate from Bloom World Academy, they have helped shape the culture, values, and legacy of our school. Throughout their journey, they have shown remarkable character, resilience, and ambition, particularly in light of the disruption and uncertainty caused by the recent regional conflict. I would like to thank our parents for the trust they have placed in us, and our exceptional staff for their unwavering commitment and care to every student. Together, we have celebrated not only exceptional academic success but, more importantly, the growth of extraordinary young people. We are immensely proud of this pioneering cohort. As Bloom World Academy’s very first graduates, they have not only made history but have also established a legacy that will inspire every cohort that follows. They will always hold a special place in the story of Bloom World Academy.”

We achieved record results in IBDP, and our first cohort of G12 students have gained places in some of the finest universities around the world. As a young school we could not have hoped for more – particularly in such disrupted academic year.”

A Different Approach to Learning

Bloom World Academy has introduced several distinctive features designed to support student wellbeing and personalised learning.

These include a later school start time of 9.00am, personalised timetables and the Learning Achievement Passport (LAP), alongside a spiral curriculum that allows students to revisit key concepts and deepen their understanding over time.

The school also offers multiple academic pathways through both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and the Career-related Programme, including Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) qualifications in subjects such as Engineering. Additionally, it has introduced one of the UAE’s first short courses in Artificial Intelligence.

What This Means for Families Considering the IB Pathway

As Bloom World Academy celebrates its first graduating class, these results provide an encouraging benchmark for families exploring IB education in Dubai. The combination of strong academic outcomes, excellent university destinations and multiple learning pathways demonstrates how the school supports students with different strengths, interests and career aspirations.

For parents, educators and students, the success of the Class of 2026 offers an early indication of the school’s commitment to academic excellence while maintaining a strong focus on wellbeing, innovation and personalised learning.
