Teen innovators across the GCC to gain hands-on experience in AI, teamwork and leadership

A Learning Lab, the regional teen career exploration platform, has announced the launch of the Innovation and Leadership Bootcamp by Stanford Mentors, a unique programme designed for high school students across the GCC. Taking place from 11 to 29 October 2025, the immersive four-day bootcamp will run in the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, giving students aged 13 to 18 the chance to explore innovation, leadership and real-world problem solving guided by mentors affiliated with Stanford University.

Hands-On Innovation for Future Leaders

The bootcamp offers students an intensive learning journey blending cutting-edge technology, design thinking, and world-class mentorship. From day one, participants will dive into collaborative workshops, mentor-led talks, and team formation activities. Guided by Stanford mentors, students will frame real-world challenges, define problem statements, plan data strategies, and begin building their AI-driven prototypes.

Projects will cover critical fields such as healthcare, law, ethics, governance, and decision science, encouraging participants to think deeply about how artificial intelligence can shape society responsibly.

Building Skills Through Practice

Students will gain hands-on experience in backend development, API design, baseline modelling, and prototype validation. Working in diverse teams, they will design, test, and refine user-friendly solutions while learning how to balance technical creativity with ethical innovation.

The programme culminates in a demo fair, where participants showcase their projects to a panel of judges. They will receive valuable feedback on both technical and conceptual elements before the event concludes with an awards ceremony and celebration. Each student will graduate with a Certificate of Completion signed by a Stanford Mentor, recognising their achievement and growth.

More Than Just a Bootcamp

Speaking about the programme, Aneeqa Larab, Deputy Head of A Learning Lab, said:

“What sets this bootcamp apart is the depth of technical learning combined with leadership, ethics, and collaboration, guided by mentors from a world-renowned academic institution. Students will leave with more than just a working project; they will gain skills in professional communication, teamwork, and critical thinking while building connections that can last a lifetime.”
