UAE Students Invited to Compete in ADNOC Yas’ Formula Ethara GP Innovation Challenge

by Nausheen

ADNOC Yas in Schools has launched the Formula Ethara GP Challenge, giving students across the UAE aged 8 to 13 the chance to experience the excitement of motorsport, creativity and design during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend. The winner will witness the season-ending race live at Yas Marina Circuit.

Open until 24th November, the competition encourages young innovators to showcase their imagination, problem-solving skills and passion for design, technology and racing. The initiative aims to inspire the next generation of designers and engineers and introduce them to potential careers in the thriving motorsport industry.

A Multi-Stage Competition

The Formula Ethara GP Challenge is split into different stages. Participants create a team name, logo and colours before designing a motorsport brand, including their car livery, using a bespoke digital template. Applicants will also submit a short two-minute video to introduce themselves and explain their ideas.

Selected finalists will be invited to Yas Marina Circuit for Saturday’s F1 Qualifying, where they will build and race their Formula Ethara cars against one another. This hands-on experience demonstrates how teamwork, innovation and precision combine to create world-class racing.

The overall winner will then return to the circuit for Sunday’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, witnessing elite F1 drivers compete in the season finale.

Competition winner will have the priviledge of witnessing elite F1 drivers compete in the season finale.
