Second cohort of IB MYP Certificate Candidates achieves an average point score of 44 – significantly above the world average of 37.71
School records its first-ever bilingual MYP Certificate
Bloom World Academy (BWA) has announced exceptional achievements by its second cohort of International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) Certificate Candidates. With an average point score of 44, this group significantly outperformed the global IB average of 37.71. The cohort’s highest individual score reached 49 points, with three students earning 48 points or more, placing them among the top MYP achievers internationally.
These outstanding results reflect BWA’s commitment to academic excellence, personalised learning pathways, and a future-focused education model. The school’s approach continues to strengthen its reputation as a leading IB World School in the region.
In a notable milestone, one student earned BWA’s first-ever bilingual MYP Certificate, marking a proud moment for the school’s dedication to multilingual learning and cultural fluency.
In addition to the Certificate Candidates, Grade 10 students at BWA undertook individual MYP eAssessments in selected subjects as part of their customised learning journeys—further demonstrating the school’s flexible and student-centred approach.
John Bell, Founding Principal of Bloom World Academy, expressed his pride in the students’ achievements:
“It’s deeply rewarding to see what’s possible when young people are given the time, space, and support to thrive. I’m incredibly proud of our IB MYP cohort – not only of academic success, but for approaching their learning with curiosity, confidence and character. This success is shared with our brilliant teachers and supportive families, who champion each child’s unique journey. Congratulations to all on this fantastic achievement.”
Innovation, Personalisation, and the Path Ahead

Following their MYP success, the students now transition into the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at BWA’s Nexus Pre-University Centre—a specialised post-16 environment focused on university readiness and personalised learning pathways.
BWA has become known for pioneering innovations in the UAE education landscape. These include a 9am school start time, fully personalised timetables, and the Learning Achievement Passport (LAP)—all designed to place student wellbeing and growth at the centre of learning.
The school’s curriculum follows a spiral structure, enabling students to revisit concepts over time and develop deeper understanding as they progress. As a fully authorised IBDP/IBCP school, BWA offers diverse academic routes, including BTEC diplomas in subjects such as Engineering and a first-of-its-kind AI short course in the UAE.
