High Impact Teaching delivers practical CPD that transforms classroom practice

Short Bursts. Big Gains.

As schools continue to navigate increasing educational demands, one thing is becoming increasingly clear, teachers need professional development that is practical, accessible, and genuinely impactful within the realities of modern school life.

Developed by leading educational expert Claire Gadsby, High Impact Teaching is a new CPD series launching for the 2026-27 academic year, designed to provide educators with focused, high-quality professional learning that can be immediately applied within the classroom.

Programme Snapshot

Built around the philosophy of Short Bursts. Big Gains., the programme focuses on concise, structured learning experiences that support meaningful improvements in teaching practice, confidence, and classroom impact, without overwhelming already busy educators.

Launching from August/September 2026, the first three pathways have been carefully designed to support educators at different stages of their professional journey

The Pathways

ECT Pathway

Designed for Early Career and Trainee Teachers, this pathway focuses on building strong classroom foundations through practical strategies linked to behaviour, routines, learner engagement, questioning, adaptive teaching, and positive classroom culture. The pathway is also well suited to university teacher training programmes and could support trainee teachers preparing to enter the classroom.

Foundation Pathway

Created for educators looking to strengthen and refine core teaching practice, this pathway explores engagement, assessment, classroom consistency, impactful learning environments, and effective teaching strategies that positively influence learner outcomes.

Advanced Pathway

Aimed at experienced educators, the Advanced Pathway focuses on reflective practice, curriculum delivery, professional influence, and embedding high-impact approaches that create long-term improvements across teaching and learning.

How It Works

Teachers access the programme through a dedicated web-based platform or can download the app, allowing them to engage with the pathways flexibly around existing school commitments

Each pathway includes

  • Structured short CPD video sessions led by Claire Gadsby
  • Practical classroom-focused tasks
  • Opportunities to apply learning directly within school or nursery settings
  • Evidence uploads and reflective practice activities
  • Feedback and assessment from educational trainers

Rather than simply completing a course, participants build a professional portfolio of evidence that demonstrates their learning journey and classroom application. Educators also receive actionable feedback and practical next steps they can immediately apply within their teaching practice.

Upon completion, participants receive a CPD certificate as part of this CPD UK verified and approved professional development pathway.

Importantly, the pathways are progressive, allowing educators to continue building their professional learning journey over time. Teachers may begin with the ECT Pathway before progressing into Foundation and Advanced as their experience develops.

Supporting Schools as a Whole

While the pathways support individual staff development, they have also been designed with wider school improvement in mind.

The programme provides schools with structured, evidence-based professional development that can contribute towards inspection evidence, staff development strategies, reflective practice, and ongoing professional learning priorities.

Flexible enrolment options are available for individual staff members, whole-school implementation, and multi-school groups, with discounted partnership packages available for larger teams. Schools may also explore bespoke pathway elements tailored to their individual priorities and development goals.

Additional add-on support options, including school site visits and strategic professional development consultancy, will also be available.

Looking Ahead to 2027

Alongside the initial launch, development is already underway for additional pathways planned for release throughout 2027, including dedicated programmes for:

  • Middle Leadership Teams (MLT)
  • Senior Leadership Teams (SLT)
  • Support Staff including Teaching Assistants
