UAE Schools Celebrate Record-Breaking A-Level and BTEC Results for 2025

Schools across the UAE are celebrating a year of record-breaking A-Level and BTEC results. From Dubai to Abu Dhabi, the Class of 2025 has achieved exceptional outcomes, with many students securing offers from some of the world’s most prestigious universities – including Oxbridge, Ivy League, Russell Group, and other leading global institutions.

Dubai College Achieves Outstanding A-Level Results

Dubai College reported 74% of A-Level grades at A–A and a record 93.6% at A–B, matching last year’s exceptional high. Twenty-five students earned three or more A* grades, with fifteen achieving four A*s.

Head of Sixth Form, Ateka Tarajia, said:

“Dubai College is proud to announce an outstanding set of A Level results, as a staggering 74% of all examinations were awarded an A* or A, reflecting the exceptional hard work and talent of our students.”

Students will now progress to competitive courses including Medicine, with confirmed offers from Oxbridge and Ivy League universities.

Dubai British School Jumeirah Park (DBSJP) Marks Success Across Pathways

At DBSJP, 25% of entries were awarded A or Distinction**, with 50% achieving grade A or above and 85% at grade B or higher. The school recorded a 100% pass rate.

Principal Rebecca Coulter commented:

“These outstanding results reflect the talent, dedication, and resilience of our students, the expertise of our teachers, and the strength of our school community.”

High-achieving graduates shared their reflections:

  • Maxwell: “Today I got the highest grades I could have achieved… I am going to miss DBSJP so much and all the teachers who have helped me along the way.”
  • Amelia: “Two years ago I started A Levels feeling nervous and unsure, but today all my hard effort has paid off.”
  • Alisha: “My time at DBSJP has provided many opportunities for growth… I can’t wait to see what the next step in my journey is.”

Jebel Ali School Celebrates Best Post-16 Results in History

Jebel Ali School’s 55 students sat 162 A-Level exams and five BTEC qualifications. 62% of entries achieved A*–B, and 32% were awarded A–A*.

Headboy Kye Raikundalia, who earned A* in Maths, A in Further Maths, A in Economics, A in EPQ, and B in Computer Science, will study Economics at King’s College London.

Principal Simon Jodrell said:

“This year’s outcomes reflect the exceptional hard work, dedication, and resilience of our Sixth Form students.”

Repton Schools Secure Prestigious University Offers

Repton Abu Dhabi achieved 43% A–A* and 72% A–B*. Repton Dubai secured 31% A–A* and 62% A–B*.

High-achievers include:

  • Wahyu Wijaksono (Repton Abu Dhabi) – three A*s and one A.
  • Sandra Li (Repton Abu Dhabi) – one A*, two As, and one B, heading to NYU USA.
  • Zain Junadi (Repton Dubai) – three A*s and two As, joining UCL.
  • Yilan Shi (Repton Dubai) – two A*s and two As, reading Computer Science at Imperial College London.

Principal of Repton Dubai, Michael Bloy, praised the cohort’s “exceptional resilience and commitment to their goals.”

Horizon International School Delivers Impressive Value-Added Scores

Horizon International School students achieved an average of +1 grade above expectations across all subjects. Value-added scores were especially high in Geography and Business (+2 grades) and English Literature (+1.12).

Brighton College Abu Dhabi Records Top Subject Performance

Brighton College Abu Dhabi achieved 17% A*, 44% A–A*, and 68% A–B*. Notable achievements include 100% A* in Computer Science and Art, and 100% A*–B in Geography.

The Class of 2025 holds 149 offers from Russell Group universities, with pupils also heading to Imperial College London, UCL, LSE, King’s College London, and leading US institutions.

GEMS Education Students Shine Across 22 Schools

GEMS Education’s 1,999 students sat 5,379 A-Level exams, achieving 32% A–A* and 58% A–B*, with year-on-year improvements in all top grade brackets.

Highlights include:

  • GEMS Cambridge International Private School – Sharjah: +9% growth in A* grades.
  • GEMS Wesgreen International School – Sharjah: +16% rise in A*–A grades.

BTEC Level 3 participation doubled from last year, with 412 students taking the qualification across the network.
