His Excellency Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education, mentioned that appointing His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as the Prime Minister of the UAE was a milestone in the UAE’s march of development and achievement. The country cemented its position as a pioneering global hub in various fields and attained many firsts in numerous global competitiveness indices. His Excellency noted that this march will be continued under the leadership and vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to make the UAE the best country in the world.
His Excellency Dr. Al Falasi said: “His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum paid special attention to the educational sector over the past 17 years. Various pioneering and cutting-edge educational programmes and initiatives were launched with the aim of empowering future generations to contribute to achieving the goals of the UAE Centennial 2071. Over the years, the United Arab Emirates has been able to establish a distinguished global model in higher education. We are confident that the coming years will bring yet more developments to benefit national students who receive their education in one of the more than 70 universities in the country. Non-national students will also reap the fruits of these achievements, especially that our nation continues to maintain its global leadership in attracting international students to pursue their studies in UAE-based higher education institutions.”
