Repton Abu Dhabi has proudly celebrated a moment of academic excellence within its Humanities and Modern Foreign Languages Department, as three of its students were recognised at the 2025 Pearson Outstanding Learner Awards for their outstanding performance in the Pearson Edexcel International GCSE examinations.
Among the awardees, Emel-Louise Sunbourg and Sebastian Zaharia received the prestigious distinction of achieving the Highest Mark in the World, while Bingrou Li earned the Highest Mark in the UAE in Chinese. Emel achieved this remarkable recognition in both History and Geography, while Sebastian was honoured for his top global performance in History.
These exceptional results placed them among the top-performing learners from 740 schools across 85 countries recognised in the 2025 Outstanding Pearson Learner Awards, reflecting their dedication, curiosity and academic excellence.
Recognition of Academic Excellence
Principal of Repton Abu Dhabi, Steven Lupton, commended the achievements of the students and their teachers, stating:

The Pearson Outstanding Learner Awards celebrate the highest-achieving students worldwide who demonstrate exceptional academic performance across Pearson qualifications, including GCSEs, International GCSEs, A Levels, and International AS Levels.
