Innoventures Education is expanding again, with a new premium international school, Raffles World Academy Sharjah, due to open in Sharjah in August 2026.
Innoventures Education has announced the launch of Raffles World Academy Sharjah, with the new school due to open in August 2026 in Sharjah’s fast-growing Aljada community. Opening for the 2026-27 academic year, RWAS will initially enrol students from Pre-K to Grade 8, before gradually expanding into a full all-through school.
RWAS will build on the reputation of Raffles World Academy and the wider Innoventures Education group, which also includes Dubai International Academy Emirates Hills and Dubai International Academy Al Barsha.
Innoventures schools educate more than 9,500 students across Dubai, and are particularly well-known for their IB programmes, strong academic results and inclusive, international communities.
Inquiry-Led Learning with Strong UAE Roots
According to Innoventures, RWAS will follow an inquiry-led, student-centred international curriculum designed to encourage curiosity, creativity and critical thinking.
Alongside its international framework, the school says it will place strong emphasis on Arabic, Islamic Studies and mother-tongue programmes, aiming to balance global learning with UAE culture and values. RWAS also plans to introduce a choice of post-16 pathways over time, including a US High School Diploma option. The new campus will include specialist learning spaces, science and innovation facilities, arts provision, sports infrastructure and wellbeing-focused areas.

A New School in One of Sharjah’s Biggest New Communities
RWAS is set to open within Aljada, one of Sharjah’s largest new mixed-use developments and a community focused on attracting young families.
Developed across 24 million square feet, Aljada is being designed as a fully integrated neighbourhood combining homes, schools, offices, retail, entertainment and green space within a single master-planned community.
Among the major features planned for Aljada are:
- 25,000 residential units
- Three schools and a dedicated education district
- 250,000 square metres of green space
- A 4.4km retail boulevard
- 165,000 square metres of retail leasable space
- 500,000 square metres of prime office space
- Four hotels
- A 1.9 million square foot family entertainment complex
Growing Expansion for Innoventures Education
The launch of RWAS comes alongside the opening of another Innoventures new school, Dubai International Academy Town Square, which is also scheduled to open in August 2026.
Like RWAS, DIA Town Square will initially open from Pre-KG to Grade 8 before expanding year by year to Grade 12.
Located within the fast-growing Town Square Dubai community, the new campus is designed to give families access to a high-quality international education much closer to home, reflecting the growing demand for community-based schools within Dubai’s newer residential developments.
