DP World ILT20 Gulf for Good initiative empowers 2,000 children with repurposed cricket merchandise
DP World ILT20 has partnered with Gulf for Good to breathe new life into Season 3 merchandise — sending over 500 cricket kits to children in Madagascar as part of a powerful CSR initiative focused on education and community wellbeing.
This meaningful collaboration is part of Gulf for Good’s Outreach Programme, which aims to support sustainable development projects for children across the globe. In the long term, more than 2,000 children are expected to benefit from this initiative, which reflects a shared mission to uplift lives beyond the field of play.
A Strategic CSR Drive Beyond the Boundary
DP World ILT20 CEO David White expressed pride in the league’s regional and global role:
“This collaboration with Gulf for Good reflects our belief in the power of play. This initiative is all about making a small contribution to a much bigger cause. At the DP World ILT20 we are committed to making an impact and improving lives wherever possible.
“We are proud to have the UAE as our home; the UAE is globally recognised as one of the most generous and hospitable nations in the world. As the biggest cricket league of the region, we remain committed to making an impact beyond the field of play.”
The partnership not only advances SDG-aligned goals around education, health, and inclusion — it also demonstrates how sport can play a vital role in sustainable development across borders.
Repurposing with Purpose
In Madagascar, donated shirts and kits from the DP World ILT20 have brought joy, confidence, and a sense of belonging to children in underserved communities. Through the Gulf for Good network, the merchandise will continue to support grassroots efforts that empower youth and promote wellness, creativity, and opportunity.
This initiative is a small but significant step in reshaping how sporting leagues think about legacy and impact — not just in terms of trophies and titles, but lives touched and futures transformed.
