The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG) has opened applications for its Master’s programmes for the 2026-2027 academic year, giving professionals and aspiring public sector leaders an opportunity to strengthen their expertise in public administration, innovation and artificial intelligence.

As governments across the UAE continue to embrace digital transformation and AI-driven decision making, postgraduate education is playing an increasingly important role in preparing leaders for the future. MBRSG’s programmes are designed to support this national ambition while equipping participants with practical leadership and policy skills.

Applications remain open until 16 August 2026.

MBRSG Master’s Programmes Support National Priorities

The programmes have been developed to prepare government and professional talent to lead institutional transformation and deliver effective public policy. They also support the ambitions of the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision and the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031.

Applicants can choose from three specialist postgraduate programmes:

  • Master of Public Administration (MPA)
  • Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA)
  • Master in Innovation Management and AI Governance (MIMAIG)

Each programme focuses on developing expertise in public policy, governance, leadership, innovation and strategic decision making.

Flexible Study Designed For Working Professionals

One of the key strengths of the MBRSG Master’s programmes is their flexible learning model.

Students complete 51 per cent of their studies through face-to-face teaching and 49 per cent online. Meanwhile, weekend block teaching allows participants to balance professional responsibilities with postgraduate study.

Furthermore, the programmes place strong emphasis on project-based learning, leadership development and practical application. Participants work on real government challenges, enabling them to develop solutions that create meaningful institutional impact.

Three Specialist Pathways For Future Leaders

The Executive Master of Public Administration is designed for senior government leaders and managers. It focuses on policy analysis, governance, institutional transformation and managing administrative complexity. Participants also study public finance, human resource management and performance management.

Meanwhile, the Master of Public Administration is aimed at emerging and mid to senior level professionals working across government, semi-government and the non-profit sector. The programme follows a learning by doing approach, connecting academic theory with practical government challenges. Students explore digital transformation, leadership, public policy analysis and applied case studies throughout their studies. The programme includes one academic year of taught modules followed by a semester dedicated to completing a research thesis.

In addition, students complete 180 credit hours, comprising 120 hours of coursework and 60 hours devoted to an applied research project. This allows participants to investigate real public policy challenges while developing practical recommendations that can support government practice.

Innovation and AI Governance At the Centre of Learning

The Master in Innovation Management and AI Governance reflects the growing importance of technology in public administration.

The programme explores innovation, digital leadership, AI governance, data-driven decision making and digital ethics. Moreover, it helps participants understand how emerging technologies are reshaping government services, policy development and institutional leadership.

By combining academic research with practical application, graduates are prepared to contribute to the next generation of public sector innovation.

Applications Remain Open Until August

MBRSG will continue accepting applications until 16 August 2026. Professionals looking to advance their careers in government leadership, public administration or AI governance can apply through the school’s online admissions portal.

For educators, government professionals and education stakeholders, the programmes demonstrate the UAE’s continued investment in developing highly skilled leaders capable of shaping future public services and supporting national development priorities.
