Get ready for a throwback like no other at the much-loved free community event, Yas Movies in the Park. Nostalgia will be found in bucket loads, and the old-school vibes will be second to none at this phenomenal interactive event.
Proudly brought to you by BRAG in association with Yas Island, Abu Dhabi’s leading entertainment hub, this free community event will take place at the picturesque Yas Links Golf Club Abu Dhabi, Yas Island. Running from the 5 to the 6 of November, it hopes to transport guests back in time to experience the wonders of the 80s so they can reminisce on the movies, gaming, and fashion of such an iconic era. The perfect place for all the family, you’ll never want to leave as you’re transported back in time to an 80s-themed wonderland.
Taking place on the first weekend of November, the weather will be ideal for the event, featuring the best classic movies all weekend long, with three iconic films playing per day. It will also be fully equipped with all your favourite arcade machines, retro videogames, neon pool tables, pinball machines, and air hockey tables. To top off the sentimentality, a selection of the best toys of the era will be available for everyone to enjoy, taking them back to evoke childhood memories.

In addition to having 80s music throughout the festival, visitors will be given a chance to turn back the clock on their outfits as the makeover booth is on hand to give your look a revamp. Are high wasted jeans, leg warmers, or ripped denim your thing? Then you’ll be in the right place to transform into a perfect fashion diva.
Keeping true to an 80s neon Miami aesthetic, the décor will reflect the era with bright lights illuminating the venue. The venue will also include several juice bars to refuel after all the excitement of the arcade games or to stock up before you relax in front of the giant cinema screens. Showing some family-friendly films earlier in the day and then ramping it up to appeal to the adults in attendance later, this really will be a nostalgic flashback.
