Mark Ford, Principal also commented ”We are pleased with the achievements of our Year 11 students; their strong GCSE results are a reflection of their hard work and determination to succeed over the last 2 years. We also recognise the dedicated team of inspirational teachers who have supported them and made these results a reality. The community is enjoying celebrating this wonderful news.”

Manuj and Trisha Kapil – Twin SiblingsManuj and Trisha have achieved an extraordinary set of results, securing an impressive 19 grade 9’s and 2 grade 8’s collectively. These siblings are the embodiment of excellence at The English College, excelling not only academically but also as accomplished athletes. Their remarkable achievements reflect the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded, high achieving students who are a delight to have in our community.
Andre Girgis and Charley Paterson joined us at the start of Year 11.The uniqueness of EC lies in the ability to cultivate a warm and inclusive community. Andre and Charley, who joined us at the start of Year 11, are shining examples of the ethos. They have worked diligently with their teachers to upskill on different specifications, positioning themselves for success in their exams this summer. Andre achieved 10 GCSEs, all at grades 9-7 and Charley achieved 9 GCSEs all at grades 9-7 having previously secured GCSEs at the end of year 10!. Their accomplishments are truly outstanding and a source of immense pride for us.

Emily Hopkinson, Head of Secondary School said “I’m incredibly proud of our year 11 students who have worked tirelessly to secure the grades that they have. Each individual success is important and should be vigorously celebrated. From those who had a clean sweep of grade 9s (A** equivalent) to those who worked hard to secure their grade 4s in English and maths – each individual student should be recognised and rewarded for what they have achieved. I’d like to congratulate our entire community – our students, our teachers and our parents, all of whom have played a part in securing this impressive set of GCSE results.”
