Royal Grammar School Guildford Dubai (RGSGD), the sister school of one of the UK’s most prestigious independent British curriculum institutions, has further deepened its connection with its founding school through a series of meaningful initiatives.
Global Engagement Week connects Dubai students with UK heritage
As part of its Global Engagement Week, 90 senior school students from RGSGD travelled to the founding campus in the UK. The visit allowed students to immerse themselves in over 500 years of rich academic heritage, directly engaging with the school’s longstanding traditions that continue to inspire the Dubai community.
During the trip, students participated in keynote presentations, interactive workshops with the UK senior leadership team, and house debating competitions alongside their UK peers. The experience offered a unique opportunity for cross-campus collaboration, leadership exposure, and global learning.
UK leadership visits Royal Grammar School Guildford Dubai
In parallel with the student trip, RGSGD welcomed senior leaders from the UK campus to Dubai, including Sarah Creedy, Chair of Governors, Sam Maiden, Chief Strategy Officer, Peter Dunscombe, Director of Higher Education, and Kate Salisbury, Career and HPQ Lead.
The leadership team engaged in strategic discussions with educators and the Dubai senior leadership team, celebrating the school’s recent Outstanding rating in its British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspection and aligning long-term vision and development goals.
Preparing students for future academic and career success
The visit underscored Royal Grammar School Guildford Dubai’s commitment to supporting students in building future-ready skills, strong values, and global perspectives. The UK leadership team also led workshops for parents and students covering essential topics such as university admissions, career planning, and preparation for the upcoming Year 9 Enterprise Day.
