Summer After Dark invites guests to discover the cooler, less humid desert nights – an irresistible contrast to the city’s lingering heat – where the magic of the Empty Quarter comes alive

Set deep within the towering dunes of the Empty Quarter, the world’s largest uninterrupted sand desert, Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara presents a striking summer escape into Arabian luxury. Framed by golden sands and steeped in cultural heritage, the resort invites guests to disconnect from city life and reconnect with the tranquillity of the desert.

With private temperature-controlled pools, panoramic desert views, award-winning dining, and immersive wellness experiences, guests can now choose from two exclusive summer escapes.

The Dune Oasis Escape

The Dune Oasis Escape, starting from AED 1,095, is perfect for those seeking both adventure and indulgence. Guests can explore the desert through camel trekking, fat biking, archery, and much more. This offer includes accommodation in a room or suite with daily breakfast, and guests benefit from an upgrade to the next room category, excluding suites and villas. Stays in rooms and suites include an AED 200 spa credit, while one-bedroom villas offer AED 200 in resort credit. Each villa booking comes with a complimentary 90-minute spa treatment, and guests in two- and three-bedroom villas also benefit from 50% off a second treatment. Early check-in from 12 noon and late check-out until 2 pm add extra flexibility to the experience.

The Dune Villa Escape

For those desiring a more secluded retreat, the Dune Villa Escape starts from AED 2,495 and offers private pool villas that overlook the endless desert horizon. Guests can wake to breathtaking sunrises and enjoy breakfast in bed, served by their dedicated Villa Host. Days can be spent relaxing by the private pool or indulging in the resort’s amenities. This package includes daily breakfast, AED 200 resort credit for one-bedroom villas, and the same spa privileges as the Dune Oasis Escape, with one 90-minute spa treatment per stay and 50% off a second treatment for larger villas. Children under 12 stay and dine with compliments of the resort, with early check-in and late check-out also included.

After-Dark Desert Experiences

As the sun sets and the desert heat gives way to a cooler hush, Qasr Al Sarab transforms into a sanctuary of starlit wonder. For those drawn to the beauty of the evening hours, a curated selection of after-dark experiences awaits.

  • Night Archery, guided by firelight and framed by silence, invites guests to steady their breath and find their focus beneath a sky full of stars, with sessions priced at AED 250 for adults and AED 175 for children.
  • The timeless rhythm of the dunes is further revealed on a Moonlit Camel Trek, where guests journey into the stillness of the Empty Quarter for AED 400 per adult and AED 300 per child, pausing for light refreshments in a traditional Bedouin-style setting.
  • Wellness seekers can embrace the restorative power of the Desert Ice Bath Experience, with a solo session priced at AED 200 or AED 350 for couples, guided by expert therapists at the resort’s tranquil Wellness Centre.
  • Alternatively, thrill-seekers can embark on a Night Discovery Drive, a scenic 4×4 journey across the shifting sands, available at AED 500 per adult, whether taken at a relaxed pace or infused with dune-bashing flair.
  • And finally, as twilight deepens and the last blush of daylight fades, the sky reveals its greatest show. The Stargazing experience, priced at AED 550 for adults and AED 350 for children, offers a front-row seat to the constellations, completely untouched by city light, a moment to pause, reflect, and connect with the sheer scale and splendour of nature.
