Horizon English School Town Square, a new all-through British curriculum school, is set to open in August 2027, offering premium education from FS1 to Year 13. The launch is the result of a landmark partnership between Cognita, one of the world’s most diverse education groups, and Nshama, the developer behind Dubai’s thriving Town Square community.

Expanding a Trusted British Curriculum Legacy
The new Horizon English School Town Square campus will welcome its first students in the 2027–2028 academic year, opening with classes from FS1 to Year 8 before expanding to Year 13 in later years. With a proud 35-year legacy in Dubai, Horizon English School is celebrated for its outstanding KHDA and BSO ratings, as well as its recognition as the Happiest School in the UAE (2021–2023).
David Baldwin, CEO of Cognita Middle East, and Rashid Al Abbar, GM of Nshama, broke ground at the Town Square site to mark the beginning of construction.
David Baldwin commented:
“We are delighted to announce that Horizon English School, one of Dubai’s much-loved home-grown British curriculum schools, is opening a new campus in Town Square. This new all-through campus continues our legacy of delivering excellence in education. It will be a place where children feel they belong, are inspired to grow and supported to flourish.”
A Continuous Pathway Into Secondary
Horizon English School Town Square will also create a new secondary pathway within the Horizon ecosystem. Current Year 5 pupils will be offered a Year 7 transition to Town Square for the 2027–28 academic year. To support families, shuttle buses will operate between the Jumeirah and Town Square campuses during the transition period.
A Community-Centred Campus
Horizon English School Town Square will be located at the heart of the community, giving families access to a premium British curriculum within walking distance. Designed for children aged 3 to 18, the school will feature world-class facilities that promote excellence across academics, sport, STEM, and the arts.

Rashid Al Abbar, GM of Nshama said:
“We are thrilled to partner with Cognita to introduce this exceptional British curriculum school to Town Square. This development is in line with our vision to create integrated communities where families enjoy a rich and balanced lifestyle, with access to top-tier education, modern amenities, and a vibrant environment.”

Admissions and Tuition Fees
Tuition fees for Horizon English School Town Square will start at AED 49,000 for FS1 and rise to AED 75,000 for Year 13. Places are now open for Foundation Stage through Year 8 for the 2027–2028 academic year. Open House events, campus previews, and admissions details will be announced soon.
Why This Matters for Families in Dubai
Dubai’s rapid population growth and migration into new communities such as Town Square have increased demand for quality through-school places. The Horizon expansion mirrors a wider trend of established schools opening satellite campuses that keep cohorts together from Early Years through to Sixth Form.
For families, that means continuity of curriculum and ethos, shorter commutes in new residential hubs, and the reassurance of a trusted school brand.
New Schools Opening Across the UAE
Dubai and Abu Dhabi are set to welcome 13 new schools in 2025–2026, adding more than 16,000 student places to meet growing demand. These include premium British curriculum campuses and innovative learning models, highlighting the rapid growth of the UAE’s private school sector.
