From London’s West End, the multi award-winning musical Mary Poppins is flying into Abu Dhabi for the very first time. Produced by Cameron Mackintosh and Disney Theatrical Group, the magical production will take over Etihad Arena, Yas Island, from 25 March to 15 April 2026, with just 26 unforgettable performances.

The spectacular arrival of Mary Poppins is made possible through a collaboration between Proactiv Entertainment, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), and Miral, the leading creator of immersive destinations in the emirate.

A Timeless Story Comes to Life
Based on the classic stories of P.L. Travers and the beloved Walt Disney film, Mary Poppins tells the enchanting tale of the world’s favourite nanny arriving on Cherry Tree Lane. The show features dazzling choreography, mind-blowing special effects, and timeless musical numbers such as A Spoonful of Sugar, Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, Step in Time, and Chim Chim Cher-ee.

Creative Team Behind the Production
Mary Poppins features original music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, with new songs and additional music by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe. The book is by Julian Fellowes.
The production was co-created by Cameron Mackintosh, with choreography by Matthew Bourne and direction by Richard Eyre. Designs are by Bob Crowley, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, and sound design by Paul Gatehouse.
The International Tour is directed by James Powell, with choreography recreated by Richard Jones and musical supervision by Stephen Brooker.
