KHDA and INJAZ UAE Partner to Boost Entrepreneurship Education in Dubai Schools

KHDA and INJAZ UAE sign partnership to promote entrepreneurship education for students in Dubai schools

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai has formalised a partnership with INJAZ UAE, a non-profit organisation focused on promoting entrepreneurship education and youth empowerment, and a part of the global Junior Achievement network.

This collaboration aims to deliver programmes centred on entrepreneurship, work-readiness, and financial literacy to students across Dubai, directly aligning with the objectives of the Education 33 (E33) Strategy. KHDA and INJAZ UAE will jointly develop and execute experiential learning initiatives designed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset, boost preparedness for the job market, and strengthen students’ understanding of financial principles.

Focus on Practical Skills and Knowledge

Dr. Amna Almaazmi, CEO of Growth and Human Development at KHDA, stated that the E33 Strategy is committed to equipping learners with future-ready skills that match Dubai’s economic and social goals. She emphasised lifelong learning, entrepreneurship, employability, and financial literacy, adding that students should graduate with both academic knowledge and the skills, confidence, and mindset essential for success in life and work.

Dr Almaazmi also praised INJAZ UAE’s role in connecting education with practical opportunities, highlighting the joint effort to develop a generation of confident, capable, and creative leaders who will contribute to Dubai’s future economy.

INJAZ UAE’s Role and Mission

Razan Bashiti, CEO of INJAZ UAE, expressed pride in the partnership with KHDA, aiming to cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit among Dubai’s students. She highlighted the organisation’s mission to empower young people with the skills and perspective to translate ideas into impact. By integrating entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and career readiness into schools, the partnership links students’ current learning to future opportunities and encourages innovation, creation, and leadership.

Launch Event and Key Participants

The agreement was signed at an event co-hosted by KHDA and INJAZ UAE, focusing on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work-readiness. Attendees included Aisha Miran, Director General of KHDA, and Faisal bin Juma Belhoul, Chairperson of INJAZ UAE, alongside representatives from approximately 30 private schools and several student entrepreneurs.

A panel discussion, led by Naila Al Moosawi, Country Lead, Corporate Citizenship UAE from Accenture, explored ways to equip young people with the skills, creativity, and confidence to succeed in the future economy. Panelists included Dr Fatima Bu Ali, Acting Director of Quality Improvement at KHDA; Dr Ghadeer Abu Shamat, Executive Vice President at GEMS Education; Mohammad Bahaa, Managing Director – Private Sector, MENA, APCO; David Caroll, Senior Vice President – MEA Treasury & Trade at Citi; and Zainab Abdulhameed, a student and winner of INJAZ’s Company of the Year Award.

Student Innovation and Achievements

Students from Dubai National School, Al Twar, winners of INJAZ UAE’s National Company Program competition, presented their project “Raicom” and will represent the UAE in the regional finals of the INJAZ Al Arab Youth Entrepreneurship Celebration. Other student teams also shared innovative projects, showcasing creativity and forward-looking vision.

INJAZ UAE provided an overview of its core programmes in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and career readiness, emphasising that innovation and enterprise are essential for both individual and economic prosperity.

E33 Strategy and Future-Ready Learners

Dubai’s E33 Strategy aims to reform education by placing students at the centre of learning and addressing diverse aspirations. Its goal is to ensure every learner acquires the skills, mindset, and opportunities to thrive from early childhood to higher education, enabling them to become active contributors to Dubai’s future.
