More than 800 students across Dubai joined summer initiatives supported by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA). These programmes included activities designed for students of determination and opportunities to promote lifelong learning and personal growth for learners of all ages.

Launched in July, the initiatives provided students with chances to build real-world skills, strengthen community connections, and develop a strong sense of identity. The efforts aligned with the Education 33 Strategy (E33) and reflected KHDA’s commitment to empowering learners across all educational stages.
Supporting Lifelong Learning and Inclusion
The summer programmes were created in collaboration with several strategic partners, offering diverse camps and tailored educational activities. Each initiative was designed to support students at different ages and skill levels.
This focus aligns with the E33 game changers, Life Camps and InternDXB, both of which aim to empower learners, strengthen skills, and encourage lifelong learning.
Reem Waleed, Acting Head of Learner Skills Development and Wellbeing at KHDA, highlighted the importance of these initiatives.
“Lifelong learning is about more than academics – it’s about empowering students with the confidence, skills, and values they need to thrive in every stage of their lives. The summer initiatives were designed to build creativity, resilience, and inclusion, and we are proud of the impact they have had. KHDA will continue to focus on projects that strengthen students’ personalities, help them discover their potential, and prepare them for the opportunities of the future.”

Around 630 children joined workshops and hands-on experiences in arts, sports, entrepreneurship, and culture. Activities were led by young Emiratis, creating an engaging and inspiring environment.
Looking Ahead
In total, KHDA’s summer programmes reached over 800 students, providing them with meaningful and enriching experiences. As Dubai begins the new academic year, KHDA will continue to expand opportunities that support student wellbeing, connect learners to their communities, and empower them to be confident and purposeful lifelong learners.

These initiatives further reinforce Dubai’s vision to prepare its young people for a future shaped by creativity, resilience, and innovation, in line with the E33 Strategy.
