International Community School (ICS) Al Manhal student achievements continue to make headlines, as three remarkable pupils have recently earned top honours in sports, the performing arts, and literature. These accomplishments reflect the school’s ongoing commitment to nurturing well-rounded excellence in every child.

Sporting Excellence in Jiu-Jitsu

Leonardo, a devoted Jiu-Jitsu practitioner at ICS Al Manhal, has proven that dedication and hard work pay off. Since starting his training in September 2024, he has been training three times a week, showing unmatched perseverance and discipline. His efforts were rewarded with a bronze medal in December 2024 and a silver medal on 4 May 2025 at the prestigious Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Jiu-Jitsu Championship.

Leonardo’s coaches are confident that gold is within reach in his next competition, thanks to his consistent progress and mental strength.

Gymnastics Talent Recognised in Dubai

In artistic gymnastics, Year 6 student Joudi impressed judges and peers alike at the Dynasty Gymnastics Cup Tournament in Dubai. Her grace and technical skill earned her three podium finishes:

  • 3rd Place in Hoop Routine
  • 3rd Place in Free Hand Routine
  • 3rd Place Overall – Combined Score

A Literary Champion Emerges

Adding to the school’s proud list of achievements, Nararya was named the winner of the 12th Edition of the Creative Reader Competition. Organised by the Department of Culture, the award ceremony was held at the Abu Dhabi Theatre during the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair on 5 May 2025.
