Heriot-Watt University Dubai has reported strong engagement from CBSE students across the UAE and GCC following the release of the 2026 results, with growing demand for programmes in Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, engineering, business and data science. The university says students are increasingly exploring flexible progression routes and future-focused career pathways as they plan their higher education journey.
CBSE results mark an important milestone for students and families across the UAE and wider region, with universities highlighting strong engagement from applicants across a wide range of disciplines.
At Heriot-Watt University Dubai, there has been notable interest from CBSE students this year, with more than 1,400 offer holders across programmes including Business, Finance, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Psychology, Engineering, Architecture and Design. Future-focused areas such as AI, cybersecurity, robotics, data science, sustainability and the built environment continue to see particularly strong demand.
Gary A Fernandes, Associate Regional Director, Prospect Experience and Global Admissions Hub at Heriot-Watt University Dubai, said the results period reflects both achievement and opportunity for students progressing into higher education.
“The release of the CBSE results marks an important milestone for students and families across the UAE and wider region.”
He added that CBSE students continue to demonstrate strong academic preparation and resilience, noting that results day should be seen as the beginning of a broader journey rather than an endpoint. He also emphasised that while many students move directly into degree programmes, others may benefit from alternative pathways that support long-term success.
The university highlighted a range of flexible progression options, including Foundation programmes and advanced entry routes for high-performing students. In select programmes, eligible students may be able to enter directly into Year 2, reducing the time to complete an Honours Degree to three years instead of four.
Affordability also remains a key consideration for families, with the institution continuing to offer scholarships, bursaries and regional support initiatives aimed at widening access to higher education.
Students and parents are encouraged to attend the university’s upcoming Open Day on Saturday, 16 May, from 3 pm to 7 pm, where they can meet academic teams, explore progression routes and receive personalised guidance based on their results.
“Our message to students is simple: your results are important, but they do not define your future. There are multiple pathways to success, and students should take the time to explore the route best aligned to their ambitions.”
Flexible Pathways and Scholarships
Heriot-Watt University Dubai continues to support students through a range of progression pathways, including Foundation programmes and advanced entry routes for eligible high-achieving CBSE students. The university also offers scholarships, bursaries and regional support initiatives to help improve access to higher education for students across the UAE and GCC.
