Fees Fact Sheet Now Available for all Private Schools in Dubai

by Eddie Rayner

The school fees fact sheet now gives parents access to all fee-related information for their children’s school in Dubai. The information sheet, which was introduced by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), is a one-page reference that lists all fees that a private school may charge throughout the academic year.

The sheet was first published earlier this year to coincide with the start of the school year for schools that teach Indian and Pakistani curricula. It is now available for all private schools in the emirate, listing all allowed fees and charges such as transportation, extracurricular activities, school trips, and books.

The fact sheet will also be included in the annual Parent-School Contract, with over 180 schools included in the new roll-out of the fact sheet.

The fact sheet includes all fees a school may charge during an academic year

Dr Abdulla Al Karam, Director General of KHDA, said: “The school fees fact sheet will be now available every academic year for all private schools in Dubai. The fact sheet not only gives parents accurate and up-to-date information on all the fees they could be expected to pay, it also enables parents and schools to better focus on children’s learning. We appreciate the support of Dubai school leaders in making the school fees fact sheet accessible to their parent communities.”

The fact sheet was distributed to 81,000 students in 35 Dubai schools earlier this year. Parents will receive an SMS with a link to their school’s fact sheet starting this week, and schools commencing their academic year in September 2022 will have access to the service. It’s also available for viewing on the KHDA’s website, www.web.khda.gov.ae/en/
