City Walk Unplugged Season 2 Strikes a Chord: Battle of the Bands Showcases Rising Stars from over 30 Universities

The second season of City Walk Unplugged, in collaboration with Anghami, kicked off in October to elevate emerging musical talents and nurture their ambitions. With more than 30 universities participating, this edition features exciting prizes, renowned judges and captivating performances for every music enthusiast.

This year, the participating universities included Canadian University Dubai, Middlesex University Dubai, Westford University College, University of Stirling, University of Wollongong in Dubai – UOWD, Bath Spa University, BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus, Heriot Watt University Dubai and Manipal Academy of Higher Education.


14 standout performances move on to the semi-final round on November 17 and 18 City Walk, fountain area


The esteemed panel comprising Richard Hussein, A&R Consultant for MENA and Executive Producer for The Voice, The X Factor, and Coke Studio Middle East, Joelle Khoury Aouad, Casting Producer for The X Factor & The Voice, and Kamil Abi Khalil, Head of Production at Anghami carefully shortlisted the standout performances to perform on November 17 and 18.

The shortlisted bands will be performing on stage at the fountain area in City Walk. This action-packed weekend will be hosted by Brent Black, with Abri, the celebrity soulful singer, songwriter and front man of Dubai-based soul band ABRI, closing the evening on Saturday, November 17 from 9 pm to 10pm. The musical duo, ‘Music Travel Love’, featuring identical twins Bob and Clint Moffatt from Canada, will captivate the audience from 9pm to 10pm on Sunday, November 18.
