Brighton College Abu Dhabi Pupils Gift Iftar Meals to Support Staff

by Eddie Rayner

To celebrate the spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Brighton College Abu Dhabi pupils took part in gifting 50 iftar meals to the school’s support staff.

Gifted by the Royal Orchid Group, and handed out by Brighton College Abu Dhabi’s pupils, the Ramadan meals were presented to the College’s staff as a thank you for all they do to support the school and its vibrant community every day.

Head Mistress at Brighton College Abu Dhabi, Helen Wilkinson, commented: “Without our support staff Brighton College Abu Dhabi simply wouldn’t function so we are delighted to be able to recognise their hard work and dedication with the support of The Royal Orchid Group. Our warmest thanks are extended to Anisha Varma, Director of the Royal Orchid Group for the generous meals donation.”

Anisha Varma, Director of The Royal Orchid Group said: “The Holy Month of Ramadan is a time of giving that is practised across all communities here in the UAE, irrespective of faith or origin. Echoing the same emotion, we try to do our bit of giving back to the community with this kind of initiative. This iftar meals distribution is a great opportunity for Brighton College Abu Dhabi pupils to experience, learn and understand more about the act of kindness and to live up to the Brighton College motto of ‘be good, be kind.”
