The Abu Dhabi Sports Championship will conclude its 2024/25 season in a thrilling finale on Saturday, 10 May 2025, at ADNEC Marina Hall. This high-energy event brought together top young athletes from across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra, celebrating their achievements after a year-long journey of competitions. The Championship, organised by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and the Ministry of Education (MoE), aims to foster youth talent and promote physical fitness in schools.
A Record-Breaking Season of Youth Sports
The 2024/25 season saw a record 33,000 students participate, competing in 18 sports disciplines. This year’s Championship featured a wide range of events, including Jiu Jitsu, Judo, Futsal, Archery, Fencing, and Laser Shooting, with the final six disciplines set to crown their champions during the finale. The remaining 12 disciplines have already completed their finals earlier in the season.

A Grand Finale at ADNEC Marina Hall
The Championship finale at ADNEC Marina Hall was open to families, educators, and sports fans, creating a vibrant atmosphere of celebration. The event included an athlete parade, a special awards ceremony, and interactive zones with tech-powered challenges, live performances, and a buzzing fan zone filled with food, entertainment, and activities for all ages.
Developing Tomorrow’s Champions
The Abu Dhabi Sports Championship is more than just a competition—it’s a talent development platform designed to nurture the next generation of athletes. Top performers from this year’s Championship will have the opportunity to join elite All-Star teams representing the UAE in sports like football, basketball, table tennis, and badminton at national and international levels.
Building a Legacy of Active, Healthy Students
This year-long event supports ADEK’s broader mission to promote physical activity, leadership, and personal growth through its Physical Education and School Sports Policy. The policy aims to create a lasting culture of physical fitness in schools by integrating comprehensive PE curriculums, active parent engagement, and physical literacy frameworks.
