The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced Grade 12 results, with officials saying that 92.71% of students have passed the exam, with girls outperforming boys by 3.29%.
More than 33,000 students received a score above 95%, and 134,000 received a score above 90%.
The Class 12 board exams ended on 15 June, raising fears that the results would be delayed. Students applying to undergraduate programmes in India were concerned that their applications would be rejected because of the overdue results. Nevertheless, authorities explained that this should not be the case as educational institutions had been notified earlier.
