Taking place on 21-22 May, you’ll find there’s much more to consider than curricula and fee structures. Indeed, this year’s event is packed with a fantastic line-up of schools and nurseries, giving parents a unique opportunity to get all their education questions answered under one roof. The Largest School & Nursery Show Ever
The School & Nursery Show is a ‘Women Led’ business that has managed to survive the events industry’s most challenging year. In March 2020, when Covid numbers were rising sharply, Managing Director Catherine McEvoy had to decide whether to postpone the 2020 show, which was virtually sold out. The venue was booked and paid for, but the decision was taken to postpone until May this year. “It was a very tough call to postpone that event, but ultimately it was the right thing to do by our exhibitors and visitors,” explains Catherine.
“Our primary focus of this event is to ensure that both exhibitors and visitors feel comfortable and safe during the entire show. The DWTC adheres to extremely stringent safety and security guidelines, and this was a key factor in our decision to host our event here.
“We are really excited and proud to have secured this world-class venue for what will be our largest School & Nursery Show ever.

“We have selected Sheikh Maktoum Hall as it’s very well located for access to parking and public transport. In particular, the size of the hall will allow us to have excellent distancing between stands and large walkways to allow two-way traffic to ensure the comfort and safety of all.”
An Inspiring Story of Female Entrepreneurs
Launched in 2014, The School & Nursery Show was self-funded by owners Catherine McEvoy and Natalie Humphrey and began as a community service event to help parents connect with schools and nurseries. Over the past seven years, it has attracted the UAE’s top education institutions, with parents from across the emirate coming to meet school heads and admission teams to find the right place for their children.
Naturally, the event was severely restricted during the pandemic but not completely halted. To maintain that crucial connection between schools and prospective parents, the company launched The School & Nursery Show ‘Live’ in June 2020, broadcasting live interviews across key social media platforms. It was a massive success, with over 14,000 viewers either tuning in live or watching the hosted videos afterwards.
Easy access: with multi-storey parking right next to the show
With restrictions now lifted, the stage is set for a massive re-launch, with full support from The School & Nursery Show’s Knowledge Partner, the KHDA (Knowledge & Human Development Authority).
Simon Berger, Founder and CEO of i2m Group and an industry veteran, sums up everyone’s feelings by commenting: “This is an inspiring story of female entrepreneurs that saw a community need, put their own money and time behind it, and have grown their event through an incredibly challenging time where many have closed their doors. To see them re-launch at the DWTC is a testament to their resilience and determination to lead the way in education industry events.”
