Principal Dr Neil Hopkin said: “We are so proud of our amazing students and staff, whose achievements are celebrated once again in these truly outstanding results. Following on from our outstanding inaugural IB results in July, where we gained an average point score of 37 points, alongside our outstanding BTEC results, it is clear that Sunmarke students have excelled in all pathways. Sunmarke School now offers over 60 different courses across five career pathways for students aged 14 and above to cater to individual student goals. It remains one of the only schools in the UAE and the world to be able to offer the IB Diploma and IB Career-related Programme in Years 12 and 13, in addition to A-Levels and BTECs. Our five-year track record of excellent results shows that Sunmarke School is a place where dreams are realised and futures created, and we look forward to following our graduating students’ future successes.”

Commenting on this year’s results, Paul Kelly, Head of Secondary, said: “This has been an extremely challenging year for everyone across the world, but for those taking exams which will significantly shape their futures, the pressure has possibly been more acute. The results achieved by our students are a testament to their continued efforts and resilience over the last two years. It speaks volumes about these students, their families and indeed Sunmarke’s philosophy that when things were tough, they had the mental fortitude to continue to strive for their goals and the academic capabilities to deliver the results of which they were capable. I look forward to seeing how this cohort continues to move forward through the challenges of university and employment. The one thing I am certain of is that they are fully equipped to cope with those challenges.”
