Traditionally, mathematics has always been a scary and challenging subject for children. Many feel that the elegant parts of this branch of learning are hidden by some invisible barriers and that only mathematicians are privy to its secrets. This isn’t true, especially if you are lucky enough to be a Hartland International School student!
Combing academic challenge, enrichment opportunities and pastoral care, Hartland International targets excellence and empowers young minds to think creatively, problem-solve and exceed expectations.
One young man who has made the whole school proud when it comes to mathematics is Year 7 student Alex George, who has displayed a flair for this often testing subject, excelling with the guidance of his parents and the school’s Mathematics Department. His hard work and natural ability have resulted in Alex receiving an outstanding Grade 9 in the IGCSE maths exam as part of Hartland International’s accelerated maths programme.
That is an extraordinary achievement Alex – well done!
