Star International School Al Twar, a bespoke Foundation Stage, Primary and Secondary British school in Dubai, has announced its official school expansion with a brand new campus to provide its Secondary student body with a new facility and welcome new students into its Post-16 programme. The British curriculum school is now preparing to open its new campus in time for the fall term, starting in September 2021, with the hope of creating a smooth transition for its eldest students to continue their academic journey into their final secondary years on new school grounds.
The announcement comes just months after celebrating the school’s recent successes in achieving high academic rankings by KHDA for its curriculum and outstanding results, outlining a promising future for the years ahead. Star International School Al Twar’s newly acquired campus sits in Al Qusais, only minutes away from its main school grounds in Al Twar, keeping both campuses near each other and allowing for a seamless transition for all Secondary students, including those entering Post-16.
The vocational pathway will be further strengthened with Level 3 BTEC courses
With its new, contemporary Al Qusais campus, the school aims to offer an exceptional education fostering global citizens who are true ambassadors of change. The Secondary and Post-16 programme (Years 12 and 13) is embedded with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) learning, rich extracurricular activities, and has a focus on information and communications technology (ICT) and student wellbeing. The new campus possesses large open spaces, promoting freedom of movement, a football field, running track, swimming pool, indoor sports hall. The high-quality sports facilities will allow the school to compete in national tournaments, develop students’ talents and ensure their physical development exceeds parents’ expectations. The vocational pathway will be further strengthened with Level 3 BTEC courses that possess strong employer links and will build on the existing Level 2 BTEC courses. The additional space, facilities, and resources will permit Star International to provide a broader and further enriched curriculum, allowing the school to accommodate more students in Years 7 to 13 from the local area and better serve their community by meeting their educational needs.
