The British curriculum school in the heart of Jumeirah raises the international benchmark for IGCSE examination results

Horizon International School is proud to announce the achievement of one of its ‘standout’ students, Ahmed Tamer Salem, who achieved the highest mark in the world in the Oxford AQA Science IGCSE examinations.

Salem set an unprecedented new gold standard in the Oxford international qualification by attaining an exceptional Grade 9, which is only awarded to genuinely outstanding students of the highest ability range. Since joining Horizon International School, Ahmed has gone on to attain outstanding overall results in his GCSE examinations.

Darren Gale, Headteacher at Horizon International School was excited to say, “We are incredibly proud of Ahmed’s accomplishments. He has achieved the highest accolade in the school’s history for Science GCSE examinations. Not only science but in all GCSEs in all subjects in the school’s history. In a city with many elite (selective) schools this is a formidable achievement for Ahmed and for Horizon International School.”

Gale adds, “We are confident Ahmed will strive to reach greater heights in the future and be a topper in all his endeavours. I would like to congratulate the teachers for all the support and guidance they provide to all our students encouraging them to strive for excellence.”

Horizon International School’s curriculum is designed to empower every student to become self-dependent independent and eager learners, by offering them a contemporary child focused teaching technique that creates a stimulating environment for students to learn, grow and excel.
