One in four results (25%) achieved at the top Grade 9
Brighton College Dubai pupils are celebrating record-breaking success in the 2025 GCSE examinations, achieving the highest number of Grade 9s in the College’s history. This year marks the fifth consecutive year of exceptional outcomes, reinforcing the College’s reputation for academic excellence.

Record GCSE Results in 2025
One in four results (25%) across the cohort were awarded the top Grade 9, making it the most common result this year. In total, 45% of exam entries were awarded Grades 9–8, highlighting the remarkable commitment of both pupils and staff.
The results reflect not only academic strength but also the breadth of achievement across sport, music, and leadership – a hallmark of Brighton College Dubai’s ethos of all-round excellence.
Celebrating Top Pupil Achievements
Several pupils achieved exceptional results, alongside impressive personal accomplishments:
- Ibrahim Chatha – 11 Grade 9s. Ibrahim is also a talented footballer representing the College, balancing top academic achievement with sporting commitment.
- Rudayna Yassin – 10 Grade 9s. Rudayna is an international volleyball player for Turkey, a gifted musician, and a Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award recipient.
- Sam Hall Mendoza – 6 Grade 9s, 3 Grade 8s, and 1 Grade 7. He became the youngest ever Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award recipient at Brighton College Dubai.
- Kyal Shah – 6 Grade 9s, 1 Grade 8, and 2 Grade 7s, achieving success while showing remarkable resilience in overcoming adversity.
- Eleanor Osborn – 6 Grade 9s, 1 Grade 8, and 2 Grade 7s, similarly demonstrating determination and strength of character in the face of challenges.
These pupils exemplify the College’s mission to nurture ambitious, resilient, and well-rounded young people.
