The Health Promotion Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah has launched the first phase of the ‘Healthy Schools’ programme, which falls under the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) health-promoting schools initiative.
A number of representatives were present in the introduction of this launch, including WHO, Ministry of Health and Prevention, Ministry of Educaiton, Sharjah Private Education Authority, and Sharjah Education Council.
Commenting on the launch, Iman Rashid Saif, director of the Health Promotion Department, said, “Our aim is to establish an appropriate environment and good life for school students, as well as to provide psychological safety and outstanding healthcare for them.”
